Surglogs' user-friendly digital platform allows healthcare facilities to manage health and safety compliance standards while also becoming survey-ready. In addition, Surglogs streamlines clinical workflows and removes time-consuming regulatory compliance paperwork, giving hospital employees and leadership piece of mind.
Fremont, CA: Surglogs, a software platform that helps healthcare businesses automate regulatory compliance processes, has released a new module called Sterile Processing Records that tracks sterilization loads for all types of healthcare facilities.
Staff in the sterile processing department may now retain records of the sterilization and storage of all of their instruments in a digital format that is easily retrievable. In addition, healthcare personnel may now save and view compliance reports for tests, indicators, and custom cycles as medical supplies travel through the sterile processing department at a hospital or ambulatory surgical center using Surglogs' web platform or Android and iOS apps.
Surgical Logs, the flagship module of Surglogs, pairs seamlessly with Sterile Processing Records. As a result, facilities with an instrument tracking system especially benefit from the tool. However, they may also benefit from a tool to manage quality control and audits, including tracers and Tosi tests.
"When compared to paper tracking, digital instrument monitoring software has a lot of advantages," stated Bryan Woerner, Sterile Processing Manager at OrthoArizona. "Overall, the sterilising procedure at our facility has become lot more seamless as a result of this. Getting rid of all those paper folders allows you to make room on your shelves for more critical medical items. This computerised method also allows us to sift through records much more swiftly in the event of an illness. We don't have to go to a separate off-site facility for it because it's right here."
The Sterile Processing Records module in Surglogs helps maintain compliance by alerting employees if any sterilization logs fail to load correctly or if predefined tests are not fulfilled. Surglogs' solutions have helped businesses save hundreds of thousands of dollars by maximizing employee productivity and avoiding regulatory fines. In addition, hospitals and clinics may now rest easy knowing that their patient information is safe and secure in a HIPAA-compliant cloud platform.
At the HSPA Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, Surglogs will present the Sterile Processing Records module and statistics from pilot facilities.
